THE BYRON

Four Days

June 26th - 29th

FOR THE MYSTIC RISING

The Mystic

In today’s fast-paced world, the modern-day mystic embodies a blend of ancient wisdom and contemporary insight. She seeks to reconnect with her inner self and the natural rhythms of life, drawing inspiration from both the mystical traditions of the past and the realities of the present.

The modern mystic embraces mindfulness, intuition, and self-awareness, cultivating practices that nourish her spirit and foster a deep connection with the universe. She understands that the path to wisdom is not just about solitary reflection but also about community and shared experiences.

By integrating rituals, nature, and the power of sisterhood into her life, the modern mystic navigates the complexities of the world with grace and authenticity. She honours her journey, celebrates her unique gifts, and inspires others to awaken their own inner magic.

The

Calling

As women, we carry a profound responsibility on this planet, as the mothers of humanity, sisters, friends, partners, grandmothers, and mystic wisdom keepers of the earth. There has never been a greater time for our inner mystic to surface and for women to gather in support of one another.

We are called to soften, embrace, and love.

To rise, spark, nurture, forgive, and create wholeness.

May this journey we embark on together benefit all our relations.

The

Experience

We will rediscover what we are made of and why we are here.

This immersive experience invites you to connect with the wisdom of nature. Between the earth and sky, we’ll tap into the healing power of our bodies and listen to our hearts.

As we nurture our sense of womanhood, we’ll celebrate, dance, and practice together. We’ll share our voices and unwind by warm fires at night, enjoying time together in sisterhood and prayer. We will also explore the ancient wisdom of the animal kingdom, embracing our understanding of nature while following our spiritual intuition, all while awakening our inner mystic and creating beautiful memories together.

The

Location

Nestled in the heart of Byron Bay at the serene BlueGreen Sanctuary, where nature, wellness, and creativity unite, this tranquil retreat centre invites personal exploration while respecting silence and privacy.

The property boasts three luxurious houses with nine bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Each air-conditioned residence features a swimming pool, fireplace, and outdoor shower, creating a sensory experience that enhances your journey.

Set on five acres of pristine land, you'll find a large yoga shala, sauna, ice bath, spa treatment bungalow, teepee, fire pit, outdoor pools, tennis courts, beautiful gardens, and even llamas!

Meet Katie and Lara

Your Guides

We keep it simple, Lara curates nourishment based on Ayurvedic principles, and Katie weaves everything else in between.

For four years, we’ve brought our gifts together at the Byron retreat, nurturing a friendship that enriches our journey and enhances your experience with us.

We believe in the heart’s wisdom and the power of well-crafted practices, whether through embodiment or tantalising the taste buds.

We both love a good laugh and enjoy our coffee, and Lara is always happy to have people in the kitchen, ready to answer any questions.

YOGA SHALA

The Yoga Shala is the heart of BlueGreen, a self-contained and private sanctuary. This fully equipped yoga studio serves as a workshop space, elevated among the trees and accessed via a rainforest boardwalk. We will practice here every morning and evening, with daily retreat activities often centered in this space, where all necessary amenities are provided. It's a tranquil, multi-purpose area nestled in nature, offering expansive views of the property.

Our time together

This sample schedule offers a glimpse into the vibrant tapestry of our days together. Each morning unfolds with silent morning pages, meditation, and the warm embrace of tea, allowing you the freedom to dive into creativity, rest, and exploration throughout your stay.

26th — Arrival Day
As the sun sets, we officially begin our adventure at 4 p.m. with an Opening Circle, followed by a soothing yoga session and a nourishing Welcome Dinner to gather our spirits.

27th — Connection
Embrace the rhythm of your body as we immerse ourselves in yoga and meditation. Our first workshop, "Owning Your Story," serves as a key to unlocking our truths and connecting with our authentic voices and narratives from the very start. In the afternoon, we’ll gather to share and reflect on our experiences. We’ll wind down the evening with a calming yin yoga practice, allowing space for relaxation.

28th — Witnessing
Awaken to a new day as we connect with our creative selves through morning yoga. The day continues with a card reading gathering, encouraging intuition and inspiration. In the afternoon, we’ll engage in rituals and ceremonies in the tipi and open spaces to prepare for the fire ceremony at night, embracing the mystic rising and incorporating the cards held during these sessions. We will begin with a sacred cacao ceremony, opening our hearts to the healing spirit of the plant medicine. We’ll end with a gathering of fire and release, where we can share our stories and expressions, allowing the warmth of the fire and cacao to guide us into deeper connection and transformation.

29th — Departure Day
We’ll greet the final morning with yoga and meditation, centering ourselves before a heartfelt closing circle. As we share sweet goodbyes after breakfast, we’ll carry the essence of our time together as we prepare to head back into the world.

For the rest of the retreat, I encourage you to leave your phone in your room or use it only with intention. After years of leading retreats, I’ve found this approach helps everyone stay fully present during our time together.
