At The Island Retreat, we embrace the harmony between energy and nature, where simple luxury meets the ease of down-to-earth living. As one of the earliest pioneers of ecotourism, we have always honoured the land and its people, preserving the beauty of this quiet corner of Koh Phangan.
By design, we keep things intimate. With just six bungalows, each tucked into its own private tropical haven, there is space to breathe. Every bungalow carries its own beachfront charm, with high ceilings for natural airflow, modern Thai-inspired interiors, and signature scents woven into the experience. The trees surrounding us act as nature’s own cooling system, allowing us to lower our footprint—one palm tree at a time.

Sunbird Sanctuary
Room to breathe. A private and spacious bungalow with a wide terrace, a cosy nook for lounging, a hammock, and rich dark wooden interiors. One of the largest bungalows on offer, it’s perfect for those who love their alone time.

Peaceful Dove Nest
Good things come in small packages. White wooden walls of pure light. Swing on the outdoor hammock as the tide rolls in and rolls out. This is the smallest bungalow on offer and is more jungle vibes than beach lover.

Pacific Egret Palace
Beach front nest. Only steps away from the sea, this bungalow is modern and earthy. With high majestic ceilings and caramel wooden floorboards, soothing airflow is created by the sea breeze. 2 Private Rooms, both come with 2 King Singles with ensuite.

Greater Drongo Den
Two beating hearts. Warm lighting to warm wooden walls, cozy vibrations flood your senses with sea breeze and the sounds of ocean right outside your doorstep. This beautiful space is 2 separate bungalows under the same roof, separated by a split balcony for privacy.

To Reserve Your Spot
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot. Payment is made in three stages:
• 25% deposit at the time of booking
• 25% payment by June 1st
• 50% balance by August 1st
For bookings made within two months of arrival:
• 50% deposit at the time of booking
• Remaining balance by August 1st
ONLINE MEMBER BENEFITS: Members of the online membership receive AUD $150 off this retreat. Must be a member for at least 3 months before booking.

Once your deposit is received, you’ll get a confirmation email along with my Welcome Email. This will include details on how to complete your remaining payments and a Welcome Guide with retreat prompts, travel information, and everything you need to prepare for your stay.
